In an old ATL book, the author dedicates the book to God, saying God is the best programmer, because God programs DNA. I think there is a loophole in his logic. God can do anything he likes to his whim, like make water's element to be O2H instead of H2O. For example, He makes every people with gene xyz is an intellectually challenged idiot, similar He can also make every people with gene abc and not xyz is an idiot without any reason. That's not programming! Programming have to follow certain language syntax and logic! Note: God here refers to the creator of the universe, not God in any particular religions, and could be imaginary for all you know.

It doesn't matter which God it is, it still can't make two different people with the same DNA. DNA and it's occurence in nature does follow the 'syntax' of nucleotides, and the adenine (abbreviated A), cytosine (C), guanine (G) and thymine (T) bases.

If God had only made his creations as open source nobody would complain.

That's what happens when objects are XML compatible.

This suddenly reminds me of "game of life". Game of life simulates some predefined behaviour of some object and their interactions with other objects. For all we may know, we are like "game of life", simulations done by a higher being. hehehe...

Lol! Hopefully we can understand it one day by using massively networked PCs like the Human Genome Project, to map the DNA and its behaviours.

No, there are almost certainly other planets which developed life too (we just don't have the science to prove it yet) - It has nothing to do with god as there is no such thing, no offence.

Maybe someday you will create a program (a really cool program) about AI. Then, your program will have "intelligence". And maybe (year, maybe) your creation program will forget you. And maybe (maybe!) your creation/program will speak: "I'm intelligent. I know how I was created. I can read my DNA source code and to tell exactly how was my creation process. (And ignoring how the chain of proteins, etc, works in a living being and not in death beings the comments in the source code, your AI program may say: There's no god programmer. :~

Maybe someday you will create a program (a really cool program) about AI. Then, your program will have "intelligence". Nice story. The common misconception is that, if we (mankind) don't understand something, then it must have been created by God. How absurd it is.

The main difference is that if the AI software became self aware it would know it was created as there would be plenty of evidence for it, whereas those who believe in god think they are created and yet have no proof whatsoever. no offence
