I think computer science(ofcourse coupled with discreet mathematics) is the most difficult subject in all of academia. What do u think?

Not that hard IMHO. Once you toss out a lot of the crap liberal arts stuff. Ignore the business schools and get right down to the sciences, CS ranks low compared to most other sciences. Tim Smith I know what you're thinking punk, you're thinking did he spell check this document? Well, to tell you the truth I kinda forgot myself in all this excitement. But being this here's CodeProject, the most powerful forums in the world and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question, Do I feel lucky? Well do ya punk?

I have degrees in engineering and a degree in computer science. Trust me, getting a BS in computer science is a cake walk compared to getting a BS in almost any engineering field (and computer science pays better).

Physics is not very difficult it's just a lot of work. EE and CS are cousins.

Computer science can't hold a candle to any Engineering studies, which all necessarily include advanced maths, physics, and chemistry, in addition to highly specialized engineering courses. While I was in college there was an attempt to water down the curriculum and grant a BS Computer Eng, as it was too hard to find students capable of passing the normal courses. Fortunately my entrance paperwork was interpreted as a contract by the school, and when I threw a fit, they agreed to continue to offer the required advanced courses I needed for my BSEEE until I graduated. Looking back, I'd do the same, even though the BSCE would have saved me a couple of years of grueling mental effort, and I'd have a better shot at being gainfully employed today.:) "What is it?" and he said, "I don't know. Not really. Theoritical Physics, Advanced Mathematics, Genetics, Molecular Biology(spelling??) all these are in my opinion much tougher than CS. May the Source be with you Sonork ID 100.9997 sijinjoseph

You got "molecular biology" right, but spelled "theoretical" incorrectly. /ravi Help put "civil" back into "civilization" http://www.ravib.com ravib@ravib.com

If you are talking digital electrinics then EE and CS are very similar, However you get into analog electronics and that has nothing to do with CS.
