It's a strange coincedence that I changed my sig to FLA lyrics a couple hours ago. I'm always a bit shocked by mentions of industrial bands. They aren't very popular in Canada. Many of our good bands are actually more popular in Europe than at home. My personal taste runs from old (70s, early 80s) reggae (Black Uhuru, Melody Makers, Augustus Pablo), 80s music (The Cure, Depeche Mode, The Smiths) to Industrial and Electronic (Covenant, FLA, 242, Funker Vogt, KMFDM). "The laws of nature, the laws of man This volatile paradox will never stand" -Plasticity, Front Line Assembly

Besides my own country's Front 242 & Suicide Commando most of them seem to be from Germany :) So tell me which one are the Canadians ?

I don't listen to songs when I code, but Smitha listens to Malayalam songs :-) Oh, actually I do listen to her relentless chatter when I code. I've learned to shut off my ears and at the same time manage to give an "eh" or a "aha" or a "go on" once in a while so she thinks I am listening to her :-) Nish

I used to play Pantera songs when I was younger. Now that's anger packed onto a CD. Rage Against The Machine is ok when I'm really pissed (I know; it's pseudo-rap, but the sheer anger in his music is really releaving when I'm pissed). Apoptygma Berzerk also makes great pissed-off-music. Bitch and Deep Red are perfect at times :) Leaether Strip is great when I pissed off beyond all hope. I just put all of my MP3s on shuffle, and hit play. If there is one that I dont feel like, i hit next. That makes for a very large playlist with everything from the latest Eminem to Ravel's Bolero. -- David Wengier Sonork ID: 100.14177 - Ch00k

I'm with Wengier. I have about 2500 MP3s on Shuffle. Beethoven one moment, Bananarama the next. (PS. Half of them are my wife's)... "NEXT!" Why not throw away a dime? I throw away ten pennies all the time.

"As some of you may notice, I like machine generated music - no banjo music here" I would argue that there is NO music here :) No Joe Pass - No Grisman - No Garcia - No ------ Richard Monarchies, aristocracies, and religions....there was never a country where the majority of the people were in their secret hearts loyal to any of these institutions.
