Help with Windows XP

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this question or not. If it isn't, please send it to the correct area. :) The problem is that I want to go to a certain website. The website tells my computer that there is violent content on the web page. To view this page anyway my "content advisor" asks for the administrators password. The hint shows "none". There never was a password for the administrators account. So, How am I to give the "content advisor" a password that does not exist? X| Any and all help on this will be appreciated. It maybe not be well paid, but it is very much appreciated.

Try to use Firefox...

That's not a fix, it's a workaround.

In Internet Explorer, go to the "Internet Options", then the "Content" tab. There is a section there labelled, "Content Advisor". Try disabling it, or even just fiddling with the options... I'd like to help you more, but mine is disabled and I don't want to enable it in case I run into the same problem as you! :)

So if someone has a problem with their car, you tell them to sell it and just buy a new one, without even trying to fix it?

You are comparing cars (expensive) with browsers (free)? Why you will fix just ONE error in one browser when you can fix ALL errors changing THE browser? ;)

You are comparing a totally new browser installation with a minor fix to the current installation. Your method still leaves the original problem unsolved. I shall be contacting an alternate technician the next time I have a problem with my system. A system that I like, am comfortable with and do not want anyone messing with, or "improving". And now sir, I bid you goodnight. It is 1:20am and well past my bed time.

If you have forgotten the Content Advisor password, you can reset it by taking the instructions here: http://www.pchell.com/support/contentadvisor.shtml[^]

Not required. There are simple instructions but care has to be taken since registry editing is involved to reset Content Advisor password: http://www.pchell.com/support/contentadvisor.shtml[^]

You're right. For a true fix, use Linux.

They're not saying that because, to put it bluntly, it is a lie. http://mywebpages.comcast.net/SupportCD/FirefoxMyths.html[^]

And may I add that you should ask all the money you paid him back, too?

Wow, blast from the past there. I'd really hoped that page had found its final resting place in the archives of bitter humor, never again to be referenced in semi-serious conversation...

Yes, but can you blame them for doing so if that's the only legal way they can hire programmers they want at the rate they can afford?

So you're saying Firefox has no problems or bugs whatsoever?

Thanks to all that have replied. :-D The main problem was that there had never been a password used in the first place. So the question was: How do you type in an non-existant password in the first place? I have even tried going to the user information section on the control panel and typeing in a password. The content Advisor still won't even except that. :sigh:
