You are comparing cars (expensive) with browsers (free)? Why you will fix just ONE error in one browser when you can fix ALL errors changing THE browser? ;)

You are comparing a totally new browser installation with a minor fix to the current installation. Your method still leaves the original problem unsolved. I shall be contacting an alternate technician the next time I have a problem with my system. A system that I like, am comfortable with and do not want anyone messing with, or "improving". And now sir, I bid you goodnight. It is 1:20am and well past my bed time.

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this question or not. :doh: If it isn't, please send it to the correct area. :) The problem is that I want to go to a certain website. The website tells my computer that there is violent content on the web page. To view this page anyway my "content advisor" asks for the administrators password. The hint shows "none". :confused: There never was a password for the administrators account. So, How am I to give the "content advisor" a password that does not exist? X| Any and all help on this will be appreciated. It maybe not be well paid, but it is very much appreciated.

Not required. There are simple instructions but care has to be taken since registry editing is involved to reset Content Advisor password: http://www.pchell.com/support/contentadvisor.shtml[^]

In Internet Explorer, go to the "Internet Options", then the "Content" tab. There is a section there labelled, "Content Advisor". Try disabling it, or even just fiddling with the options...
I tried that and the donly results was being asked for the administrators password to make the changes. :mad:

Thanks to all that have replied. :-D The main problem was that there had never been a password used in the first place. :rolleyes: So the question was: How do you type in an non-existant password in the first place? :confused: I have even tried going to the user information section on the control panel and typeing in a password. The content Advisor still won't even except that. :sigh:

An abacus is far cheaper, easier to install, never needs upgrading, and consumes less of the world's precious electricity! Not only that, but it doesn't require expensive peripherals (unless, of course, you buy a computer to check your results).

if the system is having problems with a blank admin password, log in as admin (should be easy since no PW). Set an actual password and then log back in as your normal user.
