They claim to be. At least they live in Germany (but the drummer is American and the guitarist is Russian).

I think they are Finish but not sure... There is also Blind Guardian. Their last album rocks.

OK, so only Peavey is German ? Victor Smolski is obviously Russian, now I think of it. You know it's not Mike Terrana anymore, right ? He's in Masterplan now.

RATM and Rage are two different things.

Yeah, they are. Peavey is the bass player and singer, he's the main guy who has always been in the band. Speak of the dead was their last studio album, they've since lost their drummer to Masterplan, and got a new one.

AFAIK that's an industrial product of a recording company. Nobody wanted to listens to hear boring music, so the record company made a deal with a movie company: They gave her a role in a very popular soap opera! Soon she was a movie star and all teenage girls bought her songs.

Well, maybe he knows Andrea Berg and she's his best friend. He plays her CDs because he has to listen to her voice and cannot afford phone calls to Germany.

I know you don't like death metal at all: but the list of German metal bands won't be complete without necrophagist (technical death metal)

I once heard about this group, Betleheim I believe. I think it is metal, not quite sure. And there's another one, Zweisser I believe. Although I like metal, I wouldn't buy a CD from this fellows. I'll try Necrophagist though.

Naaaaa, she isn't that bad. Ok, she's pop, a little commercial, but hey, the harmonies are cool. And the lyrics are good as well (at least what I was able to understand)...

Hehehe, yes, I know that. Her music sounds as Chirstina Aguilera's. Yet I really like "Glaub an mich" and "Erinner mich dich zu vergessen". But yes, her music is pretty much commercial.

Andrea Berg, that is. Today I just received the 10 CDs: Splitternackt, Du bist frei, Gefühle, Machtlos, Nah am Feuer, Träume lügen nicht, Weil ich verliebt bin, Wo liegt das Paradies, Zwischen tausend Gefühlen and The best of Andrea Berg. Great music, I just can't stop listening to her. By the way, I'm having a great experience with german music (Yvonne Catterfeld, Die Firma, Tanzwut, Freundeskreis and yes, even Sportfreunde Stiller with "'54 '74 '90 2006", and of course classics such as Rammstein, Scorpions and Tangerine Dream). Any other recommendations?
