Does anyone know of a Bug Tracker Visual Studio add-in? [modified]

Have you tried that crapware that MS posted on it's website? We use it here, and it's laughably deficient.

Hi guys. I am back after a long time here in CP. Lot of things happened in the middle. Anyways, I am here to discuss this: Does anyone know of a Bug Tracker Visual Studio add-in? Hopefully a free one. What Bug Tracker do you guys use? -- modified at 8:29 Friday 10th August, 2007

I've been using it for more than 2 years now and have a bit different opinion on its "awesomeness" :)

Never liked it in the first place, but it was not my decision to use it.

None. My software ships without bugs, because Chuck Norris does the coding

i dont use or know of one. i just do the old method of checking what i code, then testing followed by more testing. sounds interesting but i dont think it would stop me from testing so it would be one more thing to do. i'll try one. so will keep an eye on this post :) would be nice if you could run an app and find all the bugs in a project, but sounds like a fantasy to me :)

What are your issue with it? Interested to know, as it meets pretty much all my requirements.

Well, you'll have to continue doing the testing even if you have a bug tracking system. The system will only organize things for a team.

Can't find anything after a while. Maybe it works well for smaller projects (not that one I work on is really huge) but it doesn't grow well. Oh, and setting it up was a major undertaking. We had a Linux guru and a Python guru and they spend almost all day just installing the system.

Using the hierarchical wiki extensions helps with that. Can't say I have found it a problem with trac repos containing the specs, design docs and ongoing support ticketing. This is for small teams though, no more than 6 people involved.

Your software won't work in Vista anyway. Not even Chuck Norris can do it! Vista is that bad.

Axosoft www.axosoft.com[^] integrates with Visual Studio and is free for a single developer. For larger development teams you need to buy licenses but they are fairly reasonable. I dont use it as religiously as I should but it seemed to do the job for me. Cheers, David
