Well done to both teams on making the second round. Does anybody think either will make it throught to the quarters?

Come on. You have to realize that if Ireland makes it to the quarters, that means that Spain will be eliminated and, well, I am a Spaniard. I love Ireland, been there, drank there ;) , but... GO SPAIN!!!

Yeah... I know that. But you also have to take into account that in the last 6 months we have beaten teams such as Portugal and Holland and a few others... To be honest I can't see us beating Spain but whats the harm in hoping!??!?!

Not that my friend, not THAT!!! I have a feeling that someday, perhaps sooner than I think, I'm going to have to swallow my words but, who cares? ;P

Don't worry. It's going to be a great game and, to be honest, Spain hasn't done anything in the last 50 years. I think that chances are equal, perhaps Spain is the best bet, but I wouldn't bet against Ireland.

I think that Ireland's last victory was the first time that they had ever scored more than one goal in a WC game. I just don't think they have the offense to stay with teams like Portugal and Spain. Cheers, Tom Archer Author - Inside C#, Visual C++.NET Bible
