Great. But what is used in his work? Is C++ useful to his employer?

You didn't say he was looking for a new job. Your original query suggested it was his current employer you were talking about.

C# is in high demand in Scotland right now. I can't speak for other areas as I have no experience of them, but I'm having a lot of difficulty in finding any good software developers that know C# or VB.NET. We're even looking for Java developers that are willing to cross train.

We have no relocation scheme. We are happy to look at any candidate who already lives in the UK and has a valid work permit (if required) regardless of nationality.

It depends on what you want to do with it. C# cannot be used to create device drivers, for example. However, C# is excellent for writing business applications. C++ requires that you manage many more things for the same end result.

So we can result that c++ is helpful for some specific things like device driver or COM and c# is very good for write business applications or better programs for web. Thanks Colin for your time.:rose:

Hi there. i'm currently a vb 2005 newbie programer and was interest in knowing what is the exact diference between vb2005 and c#? If you have the time to explain what makes C# better then Vb 2005 i would appreciate it, since i always heard/read about people telling that C# is better but never quite got why.

Since my native language isn't english please forgive my gramar errors. ^_^ ^º-º^ OddSignature ^º-º^

C# is not "better" than VB.NET. They share the same framework. They have slightly different syntax, that is all. VB.NET syntax is more verbose and reads a little more like English. C# syntax is slightly more terse and makes more use of brackets.
