    Is there a utility that "e-mails me daily all errors in the event log since the last e-mail". (A filter where I can say "ignore this rerror" would be nice)

      Try "big brother" application for watching servers and events.

        CA's eTrust Audit will do this for you - it may be a bit overkill if you're only looking at one box.

          Yes I made it as my first "commercial" project. It allowed you to set configuration (e.g. Source, Entry Type, rules -- e.g. Contains/Doesnot contain) .. let me see if it is still available. - MS

            Couple of Network Admins I know use http://www.gfi.com/lanselm/[^] and rave about it.

              We used BB at my previous job at [large payment processing company] and it's *very* good, but I don't remember that feature being present. At any rate, not on the version/setup we were using.
