I got this comment on my blog just now (it somehow beat the filters I have). hello , my name is Richard and I know you get a lot of spammy comments , I can help you with this problem . I know a lot of spammers and I will ask them not to post on your site. It will reduce the volume of spam by 30-50% .In return Id like to ask you to put a link to my site on the index page of your site. The link will be small and your visitors will hardly notice it , its just done for higher rankings in search engines. Contact me icq 454528835 or write me tedirectory(at)yahoo.com , i will give you my site url and you will give me yours if you are interested. thank you A spam comment claiming to reduce other spam comments :-)

    Regards, Nish

Tell him that your URL is www.nigerian_banking_official_seeking_way_round_oil_embargo.com

I still remember having to write your own code in FORTRAN rather than be a cut and paste merchant being pampered by colour coded Intellisense - ahh proper programming - those were the days :)

As far as I know yahoo spam filters aren't particularly effective, sign him up for some \/14GR4.

I say you use Social Engineering in reverse, and start stalking him. You can start, by sending an Email that simply says "You're my new best friend ... which is great, because I was getting really lonely after my last best friend hung himself using his mouse cord ... and I have SO much to talk about ..." I'm not insane, I'm just mentally creative.

Reminds me of the Dilbert cartoon that goes something like this: An Elbonian terrorist group threatens to blow up Dilbert's company's Elbonian office unless they pay $10 million. Dilbert tells them their rival terrorist group has offered to not blow it up for only $5 million. I can't find it. :sigh:
