all too true, but we're just guys. We can't help seeing something with this much raw power without drooling or panting.

:-D That was fun, thanks Ed. First time I've heard of a Range Rover being the David in a David and Goliath battle though :-D As for the Koeingsegg, a smidgen less annoying in discussions than the Veyron. The Koeingsegg is what the real car people mention when people who don't know much about cars mention the Veyron. Real know-it-all ;)

$1,000,000?  That isn't much when you consider it against other cars of the same calibre.  For example on it's exclusivity it's coming up on par with the McLaren F1 and the last one I heard of being sold was sold for over £1,000,000 nearly twice as much.

The Bugatti Veyron has ruined car discussions. It doesn't matter if you are comparing super-minis, 4x4s or super-cars. Someone, somewhere at some-point will say "Those all suck, the Bugatti Veyron is ultimate." I freaking posted about the Audi A5 and had my post destroyed by a "Bugatti Veyron" deus ex machina post. For god sakes people! *gets a brown paper bag*

Yeah but we've had posts here of some cool new 4x4 and someone replies "Yeah, but it isn't a Bugatti Veyron!" and then I phone Chuck Norris. The most irrelevant car on the planet.

You know, it looks really cool but... How the heck to you really DRIVE it? It has blind spots all over the place. I guess if you only go in a straight line and never change lanes then you are OK. ...and the interior really does not look that great.

Well I am a Land Rover fanatic, in fact I'd rather have one of each of every Land Rover produced than a Veyron or Lamborghini or any supercar for that matter.  Even if you included an original Series I, II (88 and 109), IIA (88 and 109), III (88 [already got] and 109), (Pre-)Defender (90, 110 and 130), Defender (90, 110 and 130), Range Rover Classic, Disco (1, II and 3), Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, Freelander (1 and 2).  I'd still have money left over from buying a supercar.  (Oops forgot all the military variants as well such as the light-weight and 101)  Plus I'd get more satisfaction out of them, Sport if you want performance (I mean come on 2.7 tonnes 0-60mph in 6 seconds ).

Nope just watch Top Gear a lot , besides I've always had a fascination with the F1 since it's a British car and as usual with the British it was designed well, the same with Concorde, the Spitfire, Aston Martins etc.

dude, just look at it!!! That thing looks like it's been styled with a razor! Those sleek, sleek sharp edges, the gorgeous brake light, the contours of the body... sigh, i bet the disc brakes themselves cost $10,000 :( btw, nothing wrong with KIAs or most other cars, these are just dream cars (for me at least!) I need a rich uncle... :sigh:

My brother has a 1995 Diablo - a new clutch costs $8,000. A set of tyres is $3000. It gets through clutches every 6000 miles and tyres every 3000 miles. I fly a DA40. Its cheaper! http://www.panoramio.com/photo/4419826[^]

So is this Godwin'sWatson's law: As an online discussion of cars grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving the Bugatti Veyron approaches one. :)

I was given a free ride in the new TDV8 a few weeks before Land Rover released it, ok it wasn't in mud but on a course inside Earl's Court set up by Land Rover to demonstrate what the vehicles can do.  All I can say is it's pretty scary considering it was as standard doing all this stuff.  I'll see if I can dig out the video.

wasn't that Centari's car in the "Last Starfighter?" the same one that broke down bringing Alex back? :suss: if it flies and jumps to other solar systems, I'll take one. If it only drives, I'll pass.

Yeah but we've had posts here of some cool new 4x4 and someone replies "Yeah, but it isn't a Bugatti Veyron!" and then I phone Chuck Norris. The most irrelevant car on the planet.

You realize that the "Bagutti Veilon" is the ultimate bag, leaving all others behind!

 Bugatti Veyron, better than anything. Your mom, your girlfriend, your house, your boat, your brown paper bag from Gucci. Doesn't matter, the Veyron beats it.

I suppose not, but you can sink them (they're amphibious). BTW, just uploaded the Land Rover Experience (20.3MB)[^] video we took in London, compressed with DivX (haven't messed around too much with the settings to make it any smaller so apologise for the size).
