Right and of course vegetables/fruit don't have proteins. Vegetable proteins are far superior to animal proteins and have significantly less carcinogenic properties.

Yes the plant kingdom has some proteins. Nevertheless bad diet is typically seen in vegetarians. But hey, if Alicia want's to eat some wood fine by me.

So very true, I am a vegan and unfortuatley see the vast majority of vegetarians eating fish/eggs/cheese/honey, etc. They are not really trying are they ? :-D And most of the rest don't eat a balanced diet either...

Hmm, maybe... but meat proteins certainly taste better

I don't think very many people do unfortunately. Just look at the so called obesity epidemic. I think all of us would benefit from living on the diet of the stone-age people - just for a month or so. Berries, the occasionally fish and small amounts of meat.

Very true, vegetarianism is completely pointless and a lot of 'so called' vegetarians eat fish/chicken... what's going on there :~ regards,

Pardon my ignorance, but why is being 'only' vegetarian pointless?

I suppose it depends on your reasons... if your sole reason is for personal health issues I guess it isn't, but if you think you're doing it to alleviate animal suffering then you are turning a blind eye to the immense suffering caused to animals in the transportation and production of non-meat animal products, from leather to lactose. Basically, I think most vegetarians are thinking more about themselves than the animals they purport to love so much. A vegetarian is saying they think it ok for man to exploit animals for his own selfish needs. So they may as well go eat meat too and be done with it.

I see what you're saying. That makes sense, at least when you differentiate why someone is a vegetarian. Thanks.

When animals are domesticated they cease to be animals and become vegetables, the same as any other farm crop.
