I got robbed. :( Some dirty leftist hippies snuck into by back door and took about $7,000 in electronics and cash while I and (fortunately) my wife were out. How do I know they were "dirty leftist hippies", you ask? Because while they stopped to swipe a 5-year old XBox, they passed on fairly expensive watches, jewelry, financial statements and check books sitting in plain view. Yeah, I realized after I sent the reply that I had typed pit bull. I think the article I read specifically mentioned the breed of the dogs, but that really isn't important. I had a pit bull for a pet growing up and they are great dogs. What is more common is people that get "guard" dogs keeping them alone outside and then deprive them of pack contact turning them into an animal that is more likely to bite.

Yep, I agree with ya. These two are very social creatures. Neither of which would do well alone. Plus, the way I look at it, the best guard dog is inside the house instead of outside.
