Not soon enough sonny jim! :)

You gave me Rush to love, and tonight I was listening to one of my favourite Canadian songs; Mmmmm Mmmmm Mmmmm. I'd forgotten how much I enjoyed this song. Thank you Canada, and thank you Crash Test Dummies - a song that's within the reach of my vocal register.

Best thing out of Canada - Arcade Fire. Saw them live last week in Nottingham - UK. Superb. Best live set I've ever seen. Even tops Roger Waters, who, if I weren't married, and he and I were both gay, and he fancied me, and I fancied him, which I don't, I would shack up with.

Nope. Stopping at Rush (especially Red Sector A - I love that riff) and CTD.

That's a bit unfair. You're right about Rush though. Thanks to them, technical proficiency, drum solos and sci-fi concept albums almost seem like a good idea.
Paul Marfleet "No, his mind is not for rent To any God or government" Tom Sawyer - Rush

So did I. Ooops - did I just admit to that.

Thanks for the image. I now need to lie down in a darkened room and clear my mind.

Meh. Don't tell me there's another one on their way! (Never heard of him/her...)

I love the Mmmmm song. The lead singer majored in philosophy and most people don't get the song.
Did you know that he always intended for there to be a chorus, but people loved the Mmmmm bit so much that he kept it in. It's pure genius.

His live shows are something else. Granted he isn't much to look at....an ugly Richard Gere somebody once said. But his solo albums are untouchable ( IMO ). Not a Pink Floyd fan though (neither is he now) - except for Final Cut, which was really Waters' first Solo album. Actually, I bet you're not really interested in any of this are you John? I'm just wittering to myself.

Yikes! That and Patio Lanterns are on my top 10 list of most despised, vile, putrid schmaltzy songs of all time. Now some of the old Max Webster stuff was excellent; Kim Mitchell on his own is like David Lee Roth on his own without Van Halen.

Thanks to the band Yes we had irrefutable proof of that long before Rush came along. :)
