You gave me Rush to love, and tonight I was listening to one of my favourite Canadian songs; Mmmmm Mmmmm Mmmmm. I'd forgotten how much I enjoyed this song. Thank you Canada, and thank you Crash Test Dummies - a song that's within the reach of my vocal register.

Best thing out of Canada - Arcade Fire. Saw them live last week in Nottingham - UK. Superb. Best live set I've ever seen. Even tops Roger Waters, who, if I weren't married, and he and I were both gay, and he fancied me, and I fancied him, which I don't, I would shack up with.

That's a bit unfair. You're right about Rush though. Thanks to them, technical proficiency, drum solos and sci-fi concept albums almost seem like a good idea.

His live shows are something else. Granted he isn't much to look at....an ugly Richard Gere somebody once said. But his solo albums are untouchable ( IMO ). Not a Pink Floyd fan though (neither is he now) - except for Final Cut, which was really Waters' first Solo album. Actually, I bet you're not really interested in any of this are you John? I'm just wittering to myself.
