Watching my life flash before my eyes

I'm sync'ing Thunderbird to my Gmail inbox, which has 4 years of emails in it. It's wierd watching these emails scroll by in chronological order--the subject and sender. There were things I'd forgotten about, and I get this wierd sense of the "flow" of my life over the last 4 years. An interesting experience. Marc
For a moment I thought you'd experienced one of those near death moments because of a disgruntled cat (they're more resourceful than you think).

I didn't know Gmail was there 4 years ago. :)

For a moment I thought you'd experienced one of those near death moments because of a disgruntled cat (they're more resourceful than you think).

I heard two things about cats: 1. If you really, really piss off your cat it will kill you in sleep by biting your throat. 2. It will eat your corpse if left alone with it and no food around. Dogs don't do this, they would rather starve to death. I love cats, I want one, I am allergic. :P

Cats aren't all that... my cat only knew you when it was hungry... other then that it was sleeping the whole day... AND besides... if you were to get a cat... it wouldn't have to bite your throat to kill you in your sleep... it would just have to lie down on your face and watch you swell up and suffocate.

AND besides... if you were to get a cat... it wouldn't have to bite your throat to kill you in your sleep... it would just have to lie down on your face and watch you swell up and suffocate.

It was, but you had to have an electronic invitation in order to create an account. I remember I struggled quite a bit to get one of those from a friend's friend. :) I made him an offer he couldn't refuse. :laugh:

:laugh: Oh, my allergy is mild - some teary eyes and sneezing, still it's not nice at all. It also itches when I get clawed - it leaves red swelling (a little) marks. But surely I'm not dying. :D

I got my gmail account at the first year of university. Now i am graduated and employed. I had the same feeling a few weeks ago when i hit the oldest button :). I saw the first mail I received with gmail.

I have a cat that I adopted that behaves like that. The other cat, that I got when it was a kitten, is very different. It's very aware of the people around it. It will come and watch me make my lunch, it knows when meals are and will jump on our laps at dinnertime. The more interesting behaviors are that it recognizes my girlfriend's car sound--he will run to the door and wait there to greet her. Also, when she leaves in the morning, he meows and wants me to take him outside when we wave goodbye (they're both indoor cats, I've had enough with diseases and injuries from outdoor cats). This cat is also a "Waldorf" cat--he loves inventing games with just cardboard boxes, and watches me with fascination whenever I get something delivered at home, waiting to play with the box. He also loves when my gf practices her puppet shows--he watches the puppets with fascination. And of course, when my gf knits--he knows not to play with the yarn, but it's so cute how he'll creep up, ever so slowly, to just touch the fabric or the ball of yarn. He'll actually go to sleep, purring contentedly, with a paw resting on the corner of the fabric. Marc
