I bought several other books, but Inside C#, Second Edition is the best I bought on C# overall, and the Petzold book is an excellent addition in terms of GUI and GDI+ programming. Round it out with the Richter .NET book and you'll have all you need. Christian I am completely intolerant of stupidity. That one's awesome! :-D I totally agree with Jon. I started going through it just as soon as I finished my C# Step by Step book. (I came from VB.NET) I'm a couple of chapters into it and I totally love it. This was a shameless plug for Tom Archer. David Stone dstone@newcenturytitle.com

Thanks guys! I gotta tell you, the money in writing is not what I would like it to be, but it's very cool to get feedback and know that I'm helping people! I appreciate it :) Cheers, Tom Archer Author - Inside C#, Visual C++.NET Bible

Gets my vote also, I've found the Petzold and Richter books absolutely indispensable (Richter's in particular).
