XP, 98, linux, 2000k Should be BANNED, LOCKED OUT and REMOVED. THEY do not protect copyright and provide Digital rights at kernal level. COPYRIGHT HOLDERS HAVE MOR RIGHTS THAN OPERATING SYSTEMS THAT FACILITATE PIRACY.

When XP came out, I did comparisons on identical Compaq systems and found very little difference in performance. Adding memory and a better hard drive did wonders for both. Neither was as fast as Win98, however, though the latter was more unstable.

According to recent blog postings, Windows XP SP3 is 10% faster than SP2, and is also twice as fast as Vista. More details...
