http://www.adobe.com/newsletters/edge/december2007/video/index.html?trackingid=BOYND[^] Adobe's working on something that looks a lot like blend. Although there are some very disterbing features too, like when you select a backgrourd picture and turn it into a control . Hold yourself together 'couse the first couple of seconds are.. somewhat 'unconfortable'. :~

That to me looks nothing like Blend. The impression I got was that they are focusing on leveraging existing design process, i.e. designers using existing tools like Photoshop or Illustrator. Then they can take those designs and transform them into a functional mockup ready for a developer to flesh out with real logic. I could be completely wrong of course, it was only a short movie and I'm sure easy to interpret many different ways. I would find that infinitely more useful then yet another property and control infested design tool that I have to learn. It is not that Blend is bad, for my needs it is so overwhelming. Having something simpler and quicker that would suit the early phases of UI design would be fantastic for me. The impression from that movie is that Thermo could be just that. - Phil

That looks like Blend to me too. They described it slightly differently, but it looked to fulfill the same mission. This tool lets the designers work on the interface of a Flex application that is functional enough for programmers to just finish up the logic bits. They tried to also make it seem as though it were a prototyping tool as well which could also be done by Blend. - Charles
