Colin, Are you still interested in a CP MVP dinner/get-together on Sunday night before the summit? I'm interested and I think CG is on board... Cheers, Mark

Absolutely - I even bought a new Code Project T-shirt for the occasion! :) I'm staying in the Sheraton if that helps. I don't know Seattle at all. It's the first time I've been. My plan for the Sunday is to go to the early registration, then meet up with folks, go for a meal, and so on.

I'm curious (not being an MVP myself) where the MVP summits are held. Is it in Redmond?

Seattle. I was there for 2007 meet when I travelled to Irving, TX.

I'll be going to the 2008 Microsoft MVP Summit. It would be great to put faces to the names I've seen here over the last few years. Would anyone be interested in meeting up for a meal on the Sunday evening before the summit starts?

I'm waaaaaay late obviously, but I usually get to Seattle a couple days early to visit with my uncle before the summit, so I can meet up with the CP folks on Sunday. I'll be staying at the Hyatt (down the street from the conv. center). There's a really nice restaurant right by the center too, Nish and Smitha and I went there last year. I forget what kind of food it was though  Thai maybe?

Hi Mike, I just saw your reply to my graphics post and was wondering if you were going to the summit, so I thought I'd take a look at this old post first, and it seems you are! I've never been up there, even though my brother's been living there working for Boeing for maybe 15 years. So, my GF and I are making a vacation out of it and staying a few days after the summit. I just booked flights the other day - I will be arriving Sunday morning, so I'll be able to attend any CP thing Sunday night. Thai food sounds excellent... I'm still waiting for Christian Grauss confirmation :) Mark

I'll be there! The only problem I see with Sunday is that Party with Palermo is the same night, so unless everyone wanted to meet there we would have to decide which one to go to...or some way to do both. :)

Well, it seems there is so much stuff going on already that I don't think it will be wise to try and cram more stuff in there. I'll be wearing my Code Project t-shirt at some point, so come up and say hello if you spot me!

Hey Colin, I'm checked in at the Sheraton Rm 1653. I'll be on the lookout for the CP T-shirt. Cheers, Mark

;) Don't tell anybody but all the MVP's have been given CP t-shirts.

I just left you a voicemail at your room and my cell number is in the message. Call that number if you see this before you see me in person ;) (I'm heading over to the registration area now, and I'll double-check that the restaurant is still there.)
