big organization, big Salary but no assigments, no responsibilities... there are lot of peoples around me but no real friends.... there are lot of pretty girls in my office but no special one in my life.... there's money in my pocket but don't spent it in the right way.... i stay up all night thinking what to do with my life.... i eat one time or two in a day ( a sandwich )... reduced food... Incredibly lonely....living in a foreign country... away from my parents... a feeling of complete failure deep down in my heart... loosing touch with the reality... Is there a way out?

Find a hobby or a passion, something that will distract you. Heck, take a week off, and fly home.

Thats only a feeling. Sometimes I feel the same, then I get out of my comfort zone, and realized it was my silly thinking that got me thinking that. Maybe use some money to go speak to a shrink. It helps to get it out, and he wont laugh at you.

Oh man, c'mon it is his first post, don't lead him the dark way yet, let him get used to us and our cynical ways. I was attempting to foster a feeling of wellbeing and confidence. Letting him build upon his character and ability before Pete O'Hanlan rips him with his medieavel torture devices of sarcasm and irony! :)

In suggesting a Browning 9mm, I prompted him to at least contribute to the economy before he contributed to the gene pool via self-elimination.

Gin! Seriously. You need to get out and party, meet the right girl, go dancing, films, dinner. Are you working too hard? Ask a girl at work out for a meal. Just tell her the truth, Stranger, needs company and likes beautiful woman to eat with him. If she thinks you asked her out because you think she is beautiful, it is a great start! Most girls are paranoid at heart, and showing an interest is a boost to their ego and confidence. Trust me, I was that soldier. I would look and not ask, then one day I just asked and got told yes! So get the girl, do the food, see the film and then drink the gin!

Never asked a girl for a dinner in the last three years after I broke up with my college girl friend. I tried to contact her(X) few months ago then i got a mail from her boy friend saying "she is no more the person you are expecting her to be...". it's over completely.... ok I'll take courage and ask someone... thank you for your reply.

last week I sublitted my leave application to my project lead who doesn't have any project at all. You know, what he said... "There are lot of developement work lined up... so you can't take a vacation.". I said to him that I waited for almost 12 months for some assignment. nothing showed up till this moment. so either you accept my resignation or sign up my leave application. he approved 21 days of vacation. going home after 1 1/2 years hoping something will change...

There is an old truism... Men Marry Women and don't expect them to ever change, but they do. Women Marry Men and expect that they will change them, but they never can. Or, As Oscar Wilde put it, Boys will be Boys, and so will a lot of middle aged men!

last week I sublitted my leave application to my project lead who doesn't have any project at all.

I think that is your main problem. No assignments for 12 months? WTF. I'd recommend that you should look for a job change. And preferably a location change too, if that would help. Going home would definitely help you rejuvenate fast from this depressed state. Avoid sitting idle. That would worsen your problem.Keep yourself busy by joining a gym, playing a guitar, etc., as per your taste. :)

Wow. Work will always suck. But don't be depressed. Man up. I'm sorry about your situation. If I were you, I'd ask out some girls at work. Go to match.com or another site like that and put up a profile. Do you have any hobbies? I'm into brewing my own beer and have made friends at the homebrew club meetings. I also go out shooting guns with my coworkers somtimes, how fun is that!!! Reality sucks, so loosing touch with it won't hurt at all. Also, are you allowed to have pets where you live? I have two small dogs that keep me company. My one dog is 1/2 Japanese Chin and 1/2 Minature Poodle. She's the best companion ever! Not too mention that walking a cute dog is a great way to meet chicks. Call your parents, everyday if you need to. Also, are you religous? I'm not, but joining a church is a great way to make friends. Good luck and stay positive. Being happy is infectious... So is being depressed. People want to be around happy people. Also, Exercise always helps the mood improve.
