Take his word for it. People say they dont change, but it is because they cant see the difference, to them the world is changing around them. As the old saying goes, let bygones be bygones.

There is an old truism... Men Marry Women and don't expect them to ever change, but they do. Women Marry Men and expect that they will change them, but they never can. Or, As Oscar Wilde put it, Boys will be Boys, and so will a lot of middle aged men!

"There are lot of developement work lined up... so you can't take a vacation.". I said to him that I waited for almost 12 months for some assignment. nothing showed up till this moment. so either you accept my resignation or sign up my leave application. he approved 21 days of vacation. going home after 1 1/2 years hoping something will change...

I think that is your main problem. No assignments for 12 months? WTF. I'd recommend that you should look for a job change. And preferably a location change too, if that would help. Going home would definitely help you rejuvenate fast from this depressed state. Avoid sitting idle. That would worsen your problem.Keep yourself busy by joining a gym, playing a guitar, etc., as per your taste. :)

Wow. Work will always suck. But don't be depressed. Man up. I'm sorry about your situation. If I were you, I'd ask out some girls at work. Go to match.com or another site like that and put up a profile. Do you have any hobbies? I'm into brewing my own beer and have made friends at the homebrew club meetings. I also go out shooting guns with my coworkers somtimes, how fun is that!!! Reality sucks, so loosing touch with it won't hurt at all. Also, are you allowed to have pets where you live? I have two small dogs that keep me company. My one dog is 1/2 Japanese Chin and 1/2 Minature Poodle. She's the best companion ever! Not too mention that walking a cute dog is a great way to meet chicks. Call your parents, everyday if you need to. Also, are you religous? I'm not, but joining a church is a great way to make friends. Good luck and stay positive. Being happy is infectious... So is being depressed. People want to be around happy people. Also, Exercise always helps the mood improve.

some flight of plans go through my mind everyday and I ask myself If I do this, will things change? If I do that, Will things change? I end up doing nothing... what you said seems to be a practical solution to the problem. probably a new place and a new job would do...I guess... Thank you...

I'm a movie freak. I hardly miss any english romantic commedy. But how many romantic movies I can watch sitting alone in my room? This should change.

So, to summarise: you have good money you eat poorly you can't sleep you don't know anyone Sounds like you just need to get out more, start by finding somewhere you can buy a decent meal. And then, invite a girl, feed her too, things will be looking up in no time.

Since you actually like romantic comedies, you should do great with the ladies. For real, if you go just go speak with a few ladies and tell them you are equally interested in romantic comedies and beautiful women you should have no trouble at all...
