I don't feel like working today

New excercise regime is taking it's toll, I'm comfortably unambitious today. I'm looking for more entertaining, amusing, diverting, even thoughtful sites to waste the rest of the day on. Where do you go online when you have time to kill and want a diversion that has nothing to do with programming? Here are some of my places for quick diversions (the work safe ones and none of my beloved Vancouver Canucks Hockey team or other sports links) in no particular order: http://www.boingboing.net/ "A directory of wonderful things"[^] http://www.savagechickens.com/ Chicken cartoons on sticky notes[^] http://www.homestarrunner.com/sbemail.html Home of the world famouse Strong Bad answering his email[^] http://lostpedia.com/wiki/Main_Page The LOST tv show encyclopedia[^] Of particular interest are the theories and speculation and episode pages that contain way more than you ever imagined you actually saw while watching the episode (I think some people literally dissect each episode frame by frame. If you're into lost this site will save you a lot of time poring over newsgroups). http://i-mockery.com/ "Mocking pop culture and anything else we can get our hands on"[^] The star wars christmas album entry is not to be missed if you dislike star wars as much as I do. http://www.thecoolhunter.net/ Always something interesting on this site[^]

hubble discoveries... I was pulling up images yesterday while trying step away from a problem so I could see it clearer... got a whole slew of new 1920x1200 and higher desktops though a few I had to cut down to size...

Cool, how about a link?
that would limit the amount of data... I usually use the official NASA hubble data sets... but they are actually sometimes chincy about giving out full sized data... I started browsing some of the other locations and found more. these are all from google: http://heritage.stsci.edu/gallery/galindex.html[^] http://hubble.nasa.gov/multimedia/astronomy.php[^] http://seds.lpl.arizona.edu/hst/hst.html[^] http://hubblesite.org/newscenter/archive/releases/index/486/[^] (pick a year, or pick a subject!) I have seen the future: go back![^] Carina, Carina, you never looked so good.[^] and grand orion won't fit on the largest monitor set known to man... but it is sweeeeeeet in high resolution detail![^]
