They did that a couple of summers ago too, didn't they? I have a not so sweet video (home movie quality) from my telescope and ccd camera of what was supposed to be a spectacular light show. It shows absolutely nothing except the moon, bad atmospheric conditions and me nudging it every once in awhile because I didn't polar align (:-)).

yes, but these probes are about 4 x heavier and the plan is to vector them in at a steeper angle.

we'll have to wait until they start storing the barrels of radioactive waste on the far side of the moon...which will then alternately heat up and freeze as the Moon rotates around the Earth.

They think all these missions out so I don't think there would be a problem. They have been wrong before... NASA is probably the coolest government agency ever created though. Space travel is amazing! I can't wait until they get it safe to take commercial craft up for a visit.

Sounds like they're copying our Google Lunar X Prize mission plans, except we don't actually plan to crash land. It's just kinda really, really likely. :-O

Just amazed at how the US government works. New Orleans is still in ruins, millions of Americans don't have access to affordable health care but the US government borrows money to fund NASA. oh, have they found the WMDs?

Just amazed at how the US government works. New Orleans is still in ruins, millions of Americans don't have access to affordable health care but the US government borrows money to fund NASA. oh, have they found the WMDs?
