Wow. That's an arrogant statement. While it does have a lot of talented people, it also has a lot of codemonkeys who post a question as soon as they come up against a stumbling block. Nine times out of ten, when I see a post that says "Plz send code. Its urgent.", I know that the poster is from India - sorry, but that's experience on the forums. Possibly the reason that people haven't answered is because what you are asking is going to take a lot of explanation, more than you would typically expect in a forum. The more complex the answer is going to be, the less likely you are going to get an answer. The forums are looked after by volunteers who give their time freely and have no obligation to answer every post, especially if it looks like it is going to take a long time.

I am from India and have no love lost for John, but I find that statement ridiculous.
Cheers, Vikram.
Zeppelin's law: In any Soapbox discussion involving Stan Shannon, the probability of the term "leftist" or "Marxist" appearing approaches 1 monotonically. Harris' addendum: I think you meant "monotonously". Martin's second addendum: Jeffersonian... I think that should at least get a mention.
which one? mine or his? If its mine then sorry for that.

Which two in particular? Post links here (but not in the hope to get them answered, but so somebody might say why they didn't get answered).

Technically, that's an invalid statement.Since the number of talented people from India is actually a subset of the number of talented people in the "whole world", there can't possibly be more talented people in India that there are in the whole world. The very best you can expect is that all of the talented people in the world are from India, and - well - that's just absurd. Now, getting back to Indians on CodeProject... The VAST majority of people claiming that a question is urgent are from - wait for it - India. The VAST majority of people asking for us to do their homework for them are from - you guessed it - India. The VAST majority of people using texting are from - wait - this can't be the case - India. None of the above is my fault. No, I have nothing against Indians (except curry), and I poke fun at everybody (Indians, the French, Canadians, and yes, even Americans. So get off your fucking high-horse, and stop reading things into my posts that aren't there.

I would skip over the first as I've never heard of CodeDom and the problem isn't C# specific. It's more IDE related - I think there is a forum for that. The second one is linked to CodeDom (I now know what CodeDom is) but at the time, meant nothing to me, which is not saying it is a bad question. Bad questions are generally voted down and answered with abuse. Questions where people don't have an answer stay unanswered. My first google search for

On CP? If you've only found ten, you're not looking hard enough. Besides, when we see that kind of post, we realize they're secretly coveting citizenship in the U.S., and would jump at the chance of obtaining a work Visa just so they could come to this country and send their paychecks back to their mud-hut-inhabiting third-world relatives. See? Now you've annoyed me. I hope you're happy.

Like most of your countrymen, you've got to grow a backbone, learn to be self-deprecating, and learn how to laugh. If you don't people like me will chew you up and spit you out on a daily basis. Not because I want to, but because I have to - it's a calling, and I'm good at it. Did you happen to glance up at the number of members? It's close to 5 million. I don't think we'll miss you if you never come back.

One of your parents must have been French. Only the French give up that quickly.

I agree with you that the two questions you provide links to are valid, although the scope is somewhat broad. You have to consider that you might not be getting answers because no one who has read your posts has a short answer for you. You seem to be willing to learn, and I hope you will continue to be open to suggestions. The Lounge has its share of comedians - do not be offended by this, and most important, do not respond with insults. Remember that you are here to find answers, not be abusive. So try to narrow your question, give some context to what you are looking for, and state what you have found so far.
Best wishes, Hans

If 80% of the posts were stupid then yes. If 80% of the questions I view are stupid then I am entitled to have a low opinion, and I view thousands of questions per year.
