yes, it is desktop based...but the application allows the data file to be on the network...I'm not sure about simultaneous updates though - I do know it has been used in a (small) team enviornment.

we are a team of two, possibly three depending on the day and coffee levels. here's the scoop! one guy keeps track of his lists and priorities etc in excel spreadsheet. the other, uses an IT system for her stuff but is just too robust and cumbersome. personally, im using my notebook from Mix to keep track of my projects this spring, and this new technology known as a "pen" is there an easy to use web app, that allows us to keep a project list...however, is not so robust and huge and meant for more then three people that it's not more work to use it? any thots? :^)

I have tried this search technique however, I yield an incredibly low quantity of results using "Project Manager" (15 results?) "Bug Tracker"(a single result about go daddy) and "To Do List" comes up with nothing.

If you are using Windows 2003, I will recommend installing Windows Sharepoint Services 3 SP1 (which is free). It has project management, issue tracking, tasks, wiki built into it.

I've recently stumbled across www.assembla.com[^] it has Subversion, Trac(Set tasks, milestones etc), and a whole bunch of other stuff, and best of all its free package is pretty damn good.

few solutions come to mind: - trac[^] - nice, but can be complicated to set it up. - redmine[^] - similar to trac, but implemented in RoR. Big plus is that there is a [almost] one click setup package here[^], which does everything for you. Like trac, it also has SVN integration. I use it and i am quite happy with it. Actually, i prefer Trac, but couldn't get it to work, so i chose Redmine. - use a shared spreadsheet on GoogleDocs

I use projectplace.com. It´s free for 1-3 users. It´s a huge application, but easy to use and very powerful when there is need for it. /Marre

I *love* FogBugz[^] for the bug tracking part, and it also started to support planning in the recent release. They have a trial period using an online database - and if you like it and buy it, you can download the database and continue using it.

Live: Web results: 1-10 of 7,800,000 for "Bug Tracker" This leads to several hypotheses: a) the null hypothesis: you are clearly incapable of using search engines. Recommendation: stick to using pen and paper. b) you have performed very restrictive searches with unusual Recommendation: stick to using pen and paper. c) You are too lazy to open a new tab and click search, so make up some numbers that suggest you did actually try to search. Recommendation: stick to using pen and paper.

I know of an excellent one but I won't tell you for three reasons: 1) Your Google comment 2) I know this has been asked dozens of times here (not for the least of which because I've responded so many times to the same question) so a quick search of the lounge would reveal all but if you aren't even willing to Google about it then.... 3) There is still no CodeProject FAQ / WIKI that I've been asking for some time, (it's always "coming soon" despite being in my opinion an invaluable resource and bringing even more value to this site) and I'm just getting tired of posting over and over.

But not too tired to tell us you're too tired ...... I like to take it as read that the poster HAS actually gone looking. Anyway, a search result doesn't always offer opinion, as the original poster was looking for. To the OP, I use ToDoList by AbstractSpoon. Simple or as complex as you like. I'm not 100% sure about the team functionality as I am a sole trader and as such have a team of one (oh and the dog - but he lacks opposable thumbs).
