"You cannot use your PC while installing Vista SP1." ;P (yeah, right! I am busy installing right now on this PC, what a blatant lie, as you can see I can use my PC perfectly ;P )

xacc.ide - now with IronScheme support
    IronScheme - 1.0 alpha 2 out now

Nooooooooooooooooo........... don't do it... Actaully it's not that bad: some sites need to play catch up but most are okay and you can switch to IE7 mode.

Vista asks for confirmation for almost everything except 'shutdown' Has anyone observed?

Until you realize this message has nothing to say, its too late to stop reading

In that case shouldn't the warning have been: "You will not be able to use your PC after installing Vista SP1."

Nothing does crash, I had the same insolence when I installed it on my home PC. Why do I upgrade? Because of the new improved IIS 7 that is not crippled any more :)
