Ajax books?

While I'm on the subject, anyone have suggestions on a good book for getting up to speed with Ajax in an Asp.net 2.0 environment?

You don't need a book for AJAX -- it's easy peasy. Use a third party library like jQuery or Prototype, they make doing all the DOM and AJAX stuff a breeze. http://docs.jquery.com/Ajax[^]
I'm finding the only constant in software development is change it self.

You have, what I would term, a very formal turn of phrase not seen in these isles since the old King passed from this world to the next. martin_hughes on VDK

Christian Graus Please read this if you don't understand the answer I've given you "also I don't think "TranslateOneToTwoBillion OneHundredAndFortySevenMillion FourHundredAndEightyThreeThousand SixHundredAndFortySeven()" is a very good choice for a function name" - SpacixOne ( offering help to someone who really needed it ) ( spaces added for the benefit of people running at < 1280x1024 )

True:) After a virtually unknown programmer from Australia wrote a nice review and gave a 5 star rating, the book sales rank improved 10 folds. ;)

I have used Michael Shwarz's api, and examples with success.[^] Actually downloading the API and working with the examples is best way to learn it. For ASP.NET >2 I have found Bob Tabor's[^] videos very helpful. I am not a video person ordinarily but the videos are succinct and get right to the point. 2 cents..

My latest book : C++/CLI in Action / Amazon.com linkI found Rama's book to be great. I used that and ajax.asp.net to lean ASP.Net Ajax. There are some great intro videos on that site also.

As it turns out, Rama's in Atlanta - didn't realize that. I knew Nish had moved out here. Methinks a lunch is in order. :)

Since there's clearly a Graus Effect, I'm going to have to keep you in my phone book for when I release the next book. :-D
