There are tabs on the front page that let you change the information. You'll see em, just look.

Yah, because expanding our community and allowing as to all be in our elements can't be a good thing.

I think his issue is with a percieved loss of options. Thanks to you, we have the PHP rabble around here, without Chris doing anything. :P

I think the issue for some people is that you now have to click to go to the home page, then click on a new category. Before, it was one click no matter what page you were on. Hmmmmm. Maybe if I had a mouse meter I could tally up all these extra clicks.
Best wishes, Hans

Iesh.... navigation changes always stuff someone up and then when they stop the panic attack because the section they used to go too for a can of beer is gone (how dare they move my beer mentality!) and actually read the directions they find the new beer isle. CodeProject is here to stay with 5,059,008 users I don’t think they would stop hosting articles just because they might have hired a few java techies.... ask the oracle first next tim or at least read the page you are on, who know you may actually find what you are looking for or maybe not...

I can't vote for that... simply because i want all the stuff back, but certainly not to throw Java and LAMP away... Java is certainly better than VB, so... ;P

I think personally that far from closing things down and reinforcing CP's adherence to Microsoft technologies, Christian's suggestion to have sub-domains for things like Mac development and Oracle development would be a good thing. many CodeProject users work with Microsoft stuff for their application code but have to use other databases than SQL Server. Perhaps it would be a good idea to separate concerns such as database systems out into a separate domain? This would allow a much more fine-grained approach to problems, articles and forums in the database domain, with a forum for MySQl, PostGreSQL, Oracle etc., without impacting the readability and accessibility of the existing site. I agree that putting links to the other technologies in place of the familiar, more specific links at the top left is going to cause trouble. I think the links to the "sister" domains such as lamp.codeproject.com should be separated from this area. Just my two cents anyhoo.... All in all, I applaud this new move by CP, I hope the LAMP and Java sites grow into thriving communities like the original, and I hope we see a Mac-specific CP very soon. Good work.

I don't normally nitpick at spelling errors, but Beer Isle sounds like a great place for a holiday home :-)

Let's not lose anything but please support adding a place for Mac stuff.

Yeah, I was a little thrown off when I came in after the change. Thought it was a CSS bug or somesuch. Personally, if it can't be placed back where it was before (due to space or whatever), I think it should be placed together in some form or another. They just seem too far apart to be noticed/used. Perhaps, like a two layer approach (i.e. two tabs) to that navigation tab that used to exist. ____| .NET | Java | LAMP |_______ ____| C# | C++ | ... My thoughts atleast...
