Hey guys Some of you know that I was working on a book for last one year "Creating Vista Gadgets using HTML, CSS and JavaScript - Sams Publishing" Well the result of all the hard work, the book, got published recently and is available from May 15, in all the major book stores. My heartfelt thanks goes to Marc Clifton, who was also the Technical Editor for the book, Joshua Heyer (Shog9) and Rama Krishna for reviewing this book since the early stages and their invaluable advice, which made the book. Thanks also to Dr. Luiji for all the encouragements. Get the gadget book - free -------------------------------------- If you are in United States and are interested in getting one of the complimentary copy from my publisher, please send me (EMAIL) your address and I will send you a free copy. This is limited only to first 20 people who send me the address :). The catch is a humble request to do a review of the book after reading it at Amazon.com[^] which will be very helpful to other Gadget developers and also to me to improve in future editions. Here is the Link to buy the book for different countries Get The Gadget Book[^] More about the book at Windows Vista Sidebar Gadgets[^] Read the sample chapter here Selling Your Gadget[^] I would also like to add that it was because of Code Project, I started writing, so thanks to The Code Project team and Chris Maunder for providing such a wonderful platform for developers to learn, share, and grow together. Cheers Rajesh

Hey, Rajesh - just got the book yesterday, haven't even cracked it open yet. My wife got all excited though - seems she loves Vista. Yeah... determined to break my heart, that woman. Anyway, i'll certainly be posting my impressions once i get around to reading it. Glad to see that you finished it! :)

Talking about finishing the book, It almost killed me so many times, I am glad I survived. You can see the gap in my messages and articles at code project since i started this huge task. Best Rajesh

Hi Rajesh, Well it was great fun doing the editing. I must say, it probably the only technical book I've actually read cover to cover. :) I got my copy while in Ohio last week. After kissing the gf and petting the cats, the next thing I did upon getting home was open the package! It's great to actually hold it, and I bet it's even greater for you, being the author! Marc

Cheers Rajesh
