I have a running joke in the book about the fact that the maintenance programmer is known to stockpile automatic weapons, and can periodically be seen checking the inventory control program when things start getting out of hand. Well, I happened upon David Wulff's profile image today. A programmer, bleeding, holding an automatic weapon. Yikes! So it appears that David Wulff is, in fact, the legendary and notorious Maintenance Programmer. Geez, what's next? Real Attack Chihuahuas? David, I take back anything questionable I may have said about you! :-D Chistopher Duncan Author - The Career Programmer: Guerilla Tactics for an Imperfect World (Apress)

Wait, wait - that means I'm collecting wrong ones? My full title of current position is: "Software Development Kit Maintenance Programmer" and so far, I only have bolt action rifles (two remingtons, one husquarna, one cooey 22, one chinese 22). Should I considered upgrade? I was considering one Colt HBAR or Bushmaster - or maybe to go to HK? SDK Maintenance Programmer www.finfentric.com

I would love to try one, but I think the neighbouring primary school may get a little upset, and then the ARU would be the least of my troubles - I'd have to deal with three hundred little buggers armed with pocket knives and lighter fluid!! :omg:

Well, I just stick to a basic Glock 9mm myself. Simple, lightweight, inconspicuous, and sufficient - putting a couple of rounds in the ceiling is usually all the distraction I need to shimmy down the fire escape (my favorite self defense move). But then, I'm not the maintenance programmer. :-D Chistopher Duncan Author - The Career Programmer: Guerilla Tactics for an Imperfect World (Apress)
