After a solid month plus without internet access I am BACK!!! Here I come back to find Chris has the button bars working. Too cool! :-D I was having trouble with the mouseovers. I wasn't able to get them working consistantly. I shall have to take a look at how you did it. :) Of course you didn't include the secret features I had planned to spring on you. Mwahahahahah I guess I shall just have to find the time to prototype them and see what you think. ;P Only one problem, your animated gifs don't seem to be working. Or is it just me? Anyhow, good to be back.

I should mention why I have been gone all this time, but it involves the loss of a job and a completely traumatizing moving experience that I can not yet bring myself to talk about. *shudder* Lets just say that I now know why Roger is in Bullhead City in Arizona. He broke down and could not get out!!!! :omg: The most important thing is that I am back in Seattle now and I am gainfully employed doing systems analysis/web dev work again. *whew*

It is good to be back. Having CP withdrawl is bad enough, having CP withdrawl and UF withdrawl and being trapped in Bullhead City, AZ for 4 days was truly one of the most miserable of experiences. In fact, after thinking about that for a second I think that I am going to have to go and have a beer. :)

Also modifed the InLinkErAtor a wee bit) Spent an hour this morning trying to get Mozilla to work with the textRange and finally gave up when I found an article that discusses the Mozilla broken Range property. I also convincingly broke the Netscape 4 version of the toolbar but I am so over Netscape that I'm no longer willing to support such a buggy application. Awwww. I was looking forward to getting together for a few cold ones next time I was down south - which is in two weeks or so. Glad to have you back online, Jason, regardless of where you're off to. Seattle is a beautiful place, especially if you're fond of slugs. They have an excellent book of slug recipes in the gift shop at SeaTac, by the way. If you're ever looking for a decent happy hour spread, check out Maxi's at the top of the Red Lion across from the airport. And if you happen to see a lovely, petite blonde cocktail waitress named Lou there, tell her I said hello. She was soon to be a newlywed when last I lusted after her:-) "Knock, knock." "Who's there?" "Recursion." "Recursion who?" "Knock, knock..."

I don't think I posted it to the demo page, but I added the same feature to the toolbar right at the end. :) Chris Maunder wrote: Also modifed the InLinkErAtor a wee bit Really? what did you do to it? It still seems to work the same. Chris Maunder wrote: Spent an hour this morning trying to get Mozilla to work with the textRange and finally gave up when I found an article that discusses the Mozilla broken Range property. Yeah, that was the biggest thorn in my side with cross browser compatibility. The range object really is useful, but here we are with more cross-browser problems. ;p The thing that I got stuck on trying to do was to get the whole thing into an external javascript library. That way the code would be centralized and we would gain an effective speed up for our modem using bretheren. Unfortunately I kept running into strange side effects from dropping the code into a library. Code that worked right before would stop working, either the code on the page or the library code. Nothing that I could quite debug either. Never did get it work out completely.
