    Not so much an instruction, but Sainsbury's (a UK supermarket) sells peanuts with the warning "May contain nuts."

      After spending 12 days, 2 hours and 14 minutes in the shower washing my hair, I finally executed the "exit sub" code.

      Sub WashHair()
      Lather = True
      While Lather
      Rinse
      If Conscious then
      Exit Sub
      End If
      WashHair
      Loop
      End Sub

      Do NOT follow the directions on the bottle. It is an endless loop. What other stupid instructions have you found on consumer products?

      I have a hair dryer with a warning label that says: Do not use while in the shower.

        Which makes sense. Peanuts aren'r really nuts but legumes, and are as such not directly a problem for people with "real" nuts allergies. However, since they are often processed in the same places as nuts, transported in the same bags etc. they may contain minor traces of allergens usually not found in peanuts. Also, For nut allergics even these minor traces can be deadly. Fun thing is, if you google for the phrase, you are swamped with people repeating how silly that warning is, and the world is going down. Search for an alternate wording[^]

            Did you really have to spoil our fun? Most of us were just going with peaNUTS. Of course, peas are legumes as well but we don't usually roast them, pack them in plastic and say "may contain nuts". What's really funny is that some of the most common deadly food alergies are to peanuts and walnuts. (This comment is here just in case you find deadly food allergies "funny".)

              If you were Conscious you wouldn't repeat even once. I guess the point is, I must have been unconscious for more than 12 days. Of course, some other code would need to call the 'WashHair' subroutine. It would probably be called by the ImNakedInTheShower event which was in turn triggered by the WifeThinksYouStink routine. The WifeThinksYouStink routine was called by a remote program in the 'Honey' namespace.

                  It's not the warning that worries me with that; it's the uncertainty.
