I already have VS2005 installed in my computer. I also want to install VS2008 in the same computer. But i donot want to uninstall VS2005. Will VS2005 and VS2008 interfere each other and will the programs written in VS2005(.Net 2.0.) work after installing VS2008?

Yeah theres no problem. Laptop has vs2005 and vs2008 on it. VS2008 can target framework 2.0 anyway, so unless you absolutely have to use 2005 project files you might as well use 2008.

Hi, I never faced any issues with it. I even work with vs2003, 2005 and 2008 simultaneously (depending on the requirement) and did not see any problems. You may install VS 2005 and VS 2008 and work on both IDE's together (provided supported hardware). hope this helps.

VS2005 and VS 2008 will work side by side.
