I guess some people don't just get it at all. How would they feel if people started smacking on whatever their belief is?

Well, especially given the crap that Gary and Paul have received over their sigs. Double standards... :sigh:

Really? Why the sad smiley? I thought it was a great production. They must have spent quite a bit of time on it.

Wasn't really looking at the sig, but yeah that's in pretty bad taste as well.

Bad taste? There's nothing obscene or vulgar about it, but OK... you're entitled to your opinion. I change my sig once in a while; maybe it's time to do it again.

I'm sure they did, but... uh... Mark Russell does a better job with just a piano. To me, this just came off as a grab at the kind of popularity "This Land" got them back in '04... but the cuteness and novelty is gone.

I would feel fine as long as it wasn't offensive. I cherish freedom of expression. Of course, you're free to express your dislike over my sig. I understand why you may not like it; I'll probably change it soon.

Your sig is viral, dude!  A friend of mine quoted it from a psy-trance list several months ago, then, just yesterday, him having forgotten who OP'ed it, asked around, resurrecting back into the memetic ether. :suss:

Yup. :) Not trying to come off as precious here, but it's gonna get a bit difficult to keep flame wars on-topic if we start slamming each other's beliefs in signatures. And after a number of really bitter threads here and in The Lounge sparked by other, pro-Christianity sigs (not to mention the league of programming forum users who've mistook CG's "google it" sig as direct advice) i'm less inclined to buy the idea that folks will just read the post and let the sigs slide.

(My personal variation of the Flying Spaghetti Monster - or at least I think it's my personal variation. I can't remember if I picked it up from a discussion or if I invented it :~ )

Heh. Funny you should mention Pink Unicorns! I often draw parallels between believing in gods and invisible pink unicorns... (My personal variation of the Flying Spaghetti Monster - or at least I think it's my personal variation. I can't remember if I picked it up from a discussion or if I invented it :~ )
