    Finally I can install SQL Server 2008 on my development box :) <edit>Why does it only take me 15 minutes to download the 830mb file and then an hour to install to the bloody thing :(</edit>

        The SQL 2008 install doesn't work with the beta of VS 2008 SP1

          The subscribers site is dated for the 11/08/2008 and they've removed the Beta status from it aswell, poking around this [^] looks like the official download of the ISO file for non-subscribers.

                Yeah, and I just noticed the following on that page as well. IMPORTANT If you previously installed a Visual Studio 2008 Hotfix, you must run the Hotfix Cleanup Utility before installing Visual Studio 2008 SP1. For more information, see Visual Studio 2008 Hotfix Cleanup Utility for Installing Visual Studio 2008 SP1. Why they can't automatically detect and remove their own hotfix is beyond me. CT
