(SU)(BB)(OO)(KK)(EE)(PER) Accountant = Subbookkeeper. I said to a lot of people go with the Super or go with the Bookkeeper!

Did I miss something or was "many double entries" the only thing that brought to "bookkeeper" ? If it was, then my hat off Steve_Harris, what a guess !
I put "accountant" into an online thesaurus and bookkeeper came up. I tried searches in several crossword solvers using the mask "???bookkeeper" and "Subbookkeeper" didn't come up. Personally I think it should be hyphenated, but the CCC setter's decision is final I guess.

The word has been used in newspapers and books, and is an Acceptable Crossword Solution by it's use. You will not find Crumulent in the Dictionary either, but many people use it and know it's meaning.

Doens't isn't a word either, but you seem insistent upon using it.
