"Many double entries involved with fantastic accountant" (13) Fantastic = SUPER Many double Entries involved with... Things to be put into SUPER Double entries indicate 2x things. (SU)(BB)(OO)(KK)(EE)(PER) Accountant = Subbookkeeper. I said to a lot of people go with the Super or go with the Bookkeeper!

Did I miss something or was "many double entries" the only thing that brought to "bookkeeper" ? If it was, then my hat off Steve_Harris, what a guess !

I put "accountant" into an online thesaurus and bookkeeper came up. I tried searches in several crossword solvers using the mask "???bookkeeper" and "Subbookkeeper" didn't come up. Personally I think it should be hyphenated, but the CCC setter's decision is final I guess.

The word has been used in newspapers and books, and is an Acceptable Crossword Solution by it's use. You will not find Crumulent in the Dictionary either, but many people use it and know it's meaning.

For it is a word or not, I'm done with saying what I had to say. Here's a proposal: I wish you could make this CCC with standard English words only. Because I have spent more than an hour today trying to break it.

I forget that not all on here are sufficiently fluent in English, for which I humbly apologise. I will give myself a new rule. ONLY WORDS FOUND IN ACCEPTABLE ONLINE DICTIONARIES WILL BE USED However, that does not preclude me from finding devilishly obscure acceptable words. :) Does that help?

I second that. I look forward to solving these CCCs every morning.
