A cautious sensible man could be led astray by some of you." The women asked, "O Allah's Apostle! What is deficient in our intelligence and religion?" He said, "Is not the evidence of two women equal to the witness of one man?" They replied in the affirmative. He said, "This is the deficiency in her intelligence. Isn't it true that a woman can neither pray nor fast during her menses?" The women replied in the affirmative. He said, "This is the deficiency in her religion." ~ Bukhari 6:301 On the other hand women can be treated as party favors: "From the captives of Hunayn, Allah's Messenger gave Ali a slave girl called Baytab and he gave Uthman a slave girl called Zaynab and Umar another." ~ Ishaq 593 Below is why you need more than one wife: The Prophet said, "None of you should flog his wife as he flogs a slave and then have sexual intercourse with her in the last part of the day." ~ Bukhari 7:62:132 i.e. If you have two wives you can whip the crap out of one and then get your rocks off with the other. I find I need to remind myself that these are not quaint relics of the past like some rather bloodthirsty parts of the Old Testament, but the basis of Sharia law as it is practiced in much of the Middle East and as the Archbishop of Canterbury thinks it should be practiced in England.

I'll point a finger at any man who abuses women regardless of their nation, thank you. The "men" who did this are not even worthy of being called animals - they are disgusting, evil creatures who have no place on God's Earth. If you defend such people, you are beyond contempt. Know this: until women (and LBGT people, for that matter) have equal rights throughout the world, there are many of us who will never rest. Inequality is to be condemned whereever it is found - and irrespective of nation. If you think that I will defend my own nation while condemning others, think again - I quite simply won't.

I sure would love it if you had the guts to continue our discussion. In the meantime, what you seem to be saying is that you support Muslims beating and torturing their women en masse, but you decry the rights of one woman who you believe has been mistreated by the West ? In other words, women have no rights, of themselves, but heaven forbid if a foreigner mistreat one before we get the chance to do it ourselves ? Offcourse I condemn and pls do visit the above thread about treatment by Americans with their women. ot: could somebody record this thread somewhere so that nobody asks me in future about whether I promote Women violence or condemn it. most of SB members are in older age hence suffering memory lost issue.

I did. As I said before, I condemn any violence or discrimination - in particular against women or vulnerable LGBT people - irrespective of who commits it. When it is state sanctioned (e.g. women being jailed for being raped) it is even more represensible. Hence my complete abhorance of religious or state sanctioned inequality or injustice.

The difference between the human rights problems in the west and the human rights problems in sharia law countries is the difference between a medium-sized hill and K2. Even the history of your country - or at least the part of the world it occupies demonstrates how intolerant and unappealing Islam can make countries. a thousand years ago, the Pakistan region was hailed as civilized - a home for the arts and sciences as well as fearsome warriors. Since the Muslim invasion, it has been a backwater, sneered at by the Hindus, the British, and the Arabs alike.

They probably treat their livestock better than their wives. While I am sure there are many who would never think of doing such a thing, it is still too commonplace and it does not seem the government is doing enough. In the one case they said the guy was arrested for attempted murder, but how much punishment does one get there for something like that? I'm glad to see there is a charity involved to help these women; hopefully the story will bring in funds.
