It's time for a Sci-fi top 10 movie list. I'll start Sunshine Pitch Black 5th Element Serenity what would you add?
Todd Smith
Of all the movies mentioned in the thread, one omitted was "Enemy Mine" starring Dennis Quaid and Lou Gosset Jr. The effects were quite low budget, but the script and the acting was absolutely outstanding.
I lost my epiphany.

Fair do's and agreement on Logan's Run. Man, I loved Farrah and Jenny Agutter in that film.
Deja View - the feeling that you've seen this post before.
Thank you guys. I was wondering if someone would suggest some of the movies from your lists. 2001 - A Space Odyssey Alien(s) Logan's Run Solaris Soylent Green I would add The Andromeda Strain (1971) I think this message node is written and maintained by old (40-55) classic SF lovers. How about the most recent Battlestar Galactica from the SciFi channel. I loved the old series when I was a kid so didn't start watching the new series till recently. I just started off with the mini-series and loved it!

Deja View - the feeling that you've seen this post before.

Great movies! I believe you may have been a child of the 80's :) I haven't seen Buckaroo Banzai so will be sure to check it out. Have you got the new edition of Blade Runner? Worth it!

It would certainly make a top 20, along with Logan's Run, but it's just edged out of my top 10.

That's a tv series, not a movie.

What the fuck? You need to get your head examined if you *truly* believe this. :)

In no particular order: Dreamscape Repo Man Buckaroo Banzai Back to the Future Time Rider Capricorn One The Last Starfighter Flight of the Navigator Star Wars Electric Dreams Edit: Aw crap, forgot Blade Runner, it was hidden between Beatles and Bond. I guess it can replace Electric Dreams. Anyway, I only looked through what I have... if I don't have it, I didn't like it. :-D
