I remember being taught in school that the former is right ("If the war were over tomorrow...*"). Just want to know if I'm right or wrong (or just sanctimonious :-D ). * Let's see who gets the reference right! :-D

I have seen far too much of what goes on behind the seens to ever be optimistic about humanity in general. :) But for the most part, individuals are on the good side. It is just in groups we are bad.

I've heard enough from the people who want the LHC experiment to be stopped because they think it will cause the world (or even the universe) to end. :zzz: Having said that, if we do manage to screw ourselves out of existence, here's to you guys! :-D I would have liked to meet more of you, but I'm sure I will. ;)

IIRC they are only running the first protons round the loop tomorrow, not actually colliding, so we should be OK until the weekend at least.
