So I'm stopping work for the next 25 minutes in case earth will be destroyed and all work I am doing that morning is just a waste of what little time of my life remains. Instead I am trying to connect to that wretched page to see the end of the world live, but no luck so far.

OMG I looked at the webcast and it's ALL BLACK!!!!! It's happened!!!!!!!! In true Dad's Army fashion "We're doomed, doomed I tell ye........" "Don't panic, don't panic......"

I still remember having to write your own code in FORTRAN rather than be a cut and paste merchant being pampered by colour coded Intellisense - ahh proper programming - those were the days :)

Errm - nope. It's I not we. Michael Stipes is a miserable solitary bugger.

I'm not panicking. This is still just culture shock. Wait until I've adjusted. Then I'll start panicking! --remember wrongly from one of the Hitchhiker's Guide books.
