I keep trying to get a contract in NC but never can ... Wachovia never calls me back and no one else will pay what I charge :p

Pfffft, I pity you Yanks and your "fries" ;) Don't think any American chips will be able to compete with a proper English chippy. :)

Pringles are fantastic, but i'll allow you might have 'em beat. Chips are a poor substitute for proper fries though - crisp and savory on the outside, tender and fluffy on the inside, dipped in the ketchup and mayo that drips off of a gigantic grilled burger...

You're right. These facts that you've laid out totally contradict the wild ramblings that I pulled off the back of cornflakes packets.

If you're ever in pittsburgh, stop at The Greasy O (aka The Original Hot Dog shop[^]). Five Guy's fries are excellent, but they don't come close to what the O serves up.

I'll second the fries (and the dogs for that matter) at the "O". watch out for their portions though as a large is about the size of a small volkswagen. they closed the original though. that is to say they closed the "original" Original last year. :(( you can find other locations around town though.

Good point. Even the "small" could serve as complete meal for several people and the "combo" (smallest size the sell) would be the largest size you can get at a normal burger joint.

Which one is that? I've always gone to the one in oakland when I'm in the area.

These days I'd think most people'd give you a break based on your accent, but a stern lecture's not out of the question. Sober anyway, drunks can do any sort of stupid.

Anybody fancy a deburger? I was thinking a debugger for burgers and it lead to a lot of interesting ideas. There is money to be made there. I think that in this forum there should be a "debugger" for salads. :-\

:(( I didn't think restaurant/bars in Oakland were allowed to close for anything except six figure fines for selling beer to stupid freshmen.
