Where did the credit crisis of today get it's start?

a country many people in the USA love to hate
While I am sure there are some Canada haters besides Ilion, I think you would find, if you stopped getting your news from anti-American newspapers, that most American have a very positive opinion of northern neighbors - although many of us do wish you'd stop cluttering up our doctor's offices and would silence Celine Dion and Anne Murray :-D

I worked a lot in the USA and it looked like it was OK. But I often got the feeling from some of them hated the fact that a Canadian guy was all they could find to get help for their project, especially in Florida. But that is not generalized, I am sure.

I must have struck a nerve - feeling a little guilty about the way you are sucking the life blood of your bretheren and sistren in your drive to become rich?

I am sure you are sarcastic here. No, I am not sucking their blood, I just get paid my fair pay for the work I provide.

Nah. And even if I was, and was really cold, I could say he already got his. But, it sure would be nice to tie Teddy K to it. :-D But seriously, I'm not interested in more partisan BS *cough Peloci*, I'm interested in Justice. Let the heads roll no matter what side of the isle they may be on.

If anything I said implied that American IT workers thought that H1Bs were to be cherished and coddled, I misspoke.

I can't help think that JFK and LBJ would be appalled by what the Democratic party has become - and in the interests of fair play, Barry Goldwater is on record as being appalled by what the Republicans have become.

The Queen of Hearts solution seems quite fitting - we can set up one guillotine in the Senate, one in the House of Representatives and maybe a dozen on Wall St.* Added: * we'll have to send a car for Bill Clinton. His office is in Harlem /Added

"GAs prices rose, food prices shot up"... due to Global Warming! Global Warming alarmism was the pin that burst the subprime mortgage bubble that caused the worlds markets to collapse thus ensuring noone would have anything to spend on Kyoto. Justice.

It forgets a big parameter, the securitization of the debts which multiplied and propagated the consequences worldwide.

One thing AQ boy, neither Fortis or Dexia lent money to home buyers in the US. If the debts had not been exported through what are now junk bonds, never this crisis would have been so severe worldwide.

trolling?

No, sorry if came off that way. The point that this mess was caused as a side effect of making mortgages more accessable to minorities "affirmative action mortgages" was made by me earlier this week, but I was accused of being a racist for making the point. I would have loved to link to the article that Adam °Wimsatt found that indicates it is not a myth or racism on my part.

Fine, forget the fact that he tried to reign in Fannie and Freddy and fry him too. I don't care. Just the fact that he's pushing the bail out is enough. But what the hell... Bush can't win for loosing with you die hard 'partisan or bust' lefties. I'd think you'd love him for this kind of socialist touchy feely crap.

An understanding of the root of a problem is the key to its successful solution. If you were employed in software development, you'd probably recognize that.

I like a bust as well as anyone in here, especially perky ones, but that's not the reason Bush lost all credibility with me a long time ago.
