You're joking, right?? You come here to ask how to use someone else's site, and, apparently, the term "archive" is beyond your comprehension. You don't post anything at that site. You go to the usenet group that the site ARCHIVES to post whatever.

Sorry, but am I obliged to post only at codeproject and nowhere else?

No, it isn't but looking at 2008.10[^] I found messages "posted" today so I just wanted to find out how those posts appeared there.

Ever heard of Usenet? If not, try "Google Groups" or something.
In January you said "Money in April" - That was two years ago! B. Python

Nope, but I would expect questions about the functionality of other sites to be directed to the people who run them. Thats like walking into a BMW dealership asking about how to ride your Harley Davidson Fatboy?

2006, 2007, 2008The OP was looking for information on another tech site, and it seems to me to be a perfectly legitimate question. Maybe he's not familiar with Usenet. Maybe you could have enlightened him, Dave, but instead you chose to live up to your Most Vitriolic Pr**k award. Why don't you go back to the VB forum - I'm sure you'll find lots of people there to insult. Be helpful, or be quiet.

Hear hear. This is "The Lounge". No-one gets flak for asking about photo software, RAID installations, or the price of fish in Belgium.

Especially since Fatboy hangs out in Soapbox.
Jon Smith & Wesson: The original point and click interface
Fatboy is a Harley? Like in Heat Vision and Jack? Wow. No wonder he's anti-AGW.

You'll have to excuse me if I find it inconceivable that you call the tech support line of one company because you're having problems with another company's product. Even so, after looking at that site for 15 seconds, it was really obvious what the site was doing and what its limitations were. All I ask of anyone is to think before asking. I'm sorry if it's a standard you don't agree with. The first thing I did before saying anything was to look at his profile and previous posts and articles. Frankly, after looking at his experience, I found it very strange that he asked a support question for a another site that CP has no affiliation with at all.
