SIMD on Mono! http://tirania.org/blog/archive/2008/Nov-03.html[^] Still trying to find where to download them (it's not well indicated :~)... I wonder how well (i.e. fast) it will work with MS .NET!! [EDIT] Found it! Tarball: http://anonsvn.mono-project.com/viewvc/trunk/mcs/class/Mono.Simd.tar.gz?view=tar[^] SVN: http://www.mono-project.com/AnonSVN[^]

A train station is where the train stops. A bus station is where the bus stops. On my desk, I have a work station.... _________________________________________________________ My programs never have bugs, they just develop random features.

Neat stuff, been waiting for that in .NET for years. However this does confirm my impression that these mono guys like to play with the fun stuff rather than diligently plug away at e.g. implementing Windows Forms.

hey, Winform is almost complete now! (or so I have been told, I'm not really using mono at all...)

Implementing Moonlight before Mono 2 was done should have told you that. :-)

Their port is almost complete. However, many complex WinForms apps are hopelessly tied to Win32 API throught P/Invoke calls; a port to Mono will only end in tears for such apps.

Yeah, I don't blame them, either sell your soul, or do something fun!

The main thing I want out of Mono is to be able to do ASP.Net on a LAMP...that will make me happy. Last time I tried to get my ISP to install mod_mono, it didn't work out too well...gonna try again soon though, it's just too good to miss out on.

I've never been comfortable with a framework that you could get by kissing someone who already has it.

He said, "Boy I'm just old and lonely, But thank you for your concern, Here's wishing you a Happy New Year." I wished him one back in return.
