Close but no cigar! (Sounds like Hillary's relationship with Bill!)

"Swan thanks small amount of devilishly protective charm" (9) There, shouldn't stress 'ze leetle grey cells' as I ease you into the weekend! Good luck!

Well done, with help! Have your swagger points and sally forth into the weekend, secure in the knowledge that the mushy pile of organic acids and sparks that you call your brain, is up to the task even after a week of hard thinking!

Slightly OT, here's an odd one: cob (=male swan) is from Middle English but pen (=female swan) is from Welsh. Wonder why that happened?

Such is the English Language. Penguin is a welsh derived word too! (So, I think, is Corgi). Actually you wish to check them, they may be ficts, not facts :)

I know already they are correct! Penguin is from penn (head) + gwynn (white). It doesn't have a white head but the name got applied to it through an unknown route. Corgi is from korr (v small) + ki (dog). (Cornish equivalents used, I don't speak Welsh but they're much the same in this case!)
