Thats my opinion.. it is SOmeone learning programming on their degree has posted this forum posting here.. http://www.codeproject.com/KB/aspnet/aspnetemailusinggmail.aspx?msg=2754195#xx2754195xx[^] Reproduced below. Hi Friends, This is **** SR... Now am Doing Final year in BE(CS).... I Need an MINI Project for me Bcoz am learning DOT NET.... Then i Want that details about how can create web page in asp.net with Vb or C#... So I want some Projects Thanks with **** SR Now a while ago, I was backing up Christian in the forums here a argument some idiot was picking with him in the lounge. Prehaps the people that responded to me in the negative (sometimes insulting) will understand my viewpoint that too many so called programmers just cannot be bothered to learn properly these days, they much rather take the easy way out and just copy other peoples projects! This comment above summarises my point up perfectly about certain programmers that just cannot be bothered! these will always be the ones that generate poor rubbish code, the ones that are Not prepared to Learn.. Now I stand back and wait to be flamed by the same idiots that flamed me before when I put this point across.

However, people this dumb, if left to their own devices (i.e. we on CP pretty much just ignore them when questions like this are posted), will be forced to either actually learn (highly unlikely, but possible), or just flame away once they find they either cannot get work due to their lack of skill, or at some point they get caught out and fired from a job due to their incompetence. Creative insults on the other hand, those are well deserved!

and professors are quite aware of that industry, and happily spend time catching students using those essays.

What is it with India? There are good programmers that have come out of that country. I have worked with some and there are others here on CP of whom I am in awe. Yet seven of every ten posts on CP like this come from that country. They don't even seem to understand that they have no right to call themselves programmers or student programmers or anything like it.

A few years back I was working on a multi million pound project and one of the programmers was having problems and asked me if I could help so I asked him what the problem was and he opened up the code that he thought had the problem, I said "What does it do?" "I don't know." "What do you mean you don't know? it's your code." "I got it off the internet." There's always going to be dweebs that can't be bothered and people that go into programming because they can get better money than shovelling big macs all day. But they're just the flotsam and jetsum that makes the people that are really good and dedicated stand out.
