Kids... No appreciation for the classics these days. What are they teaching in schools, anyway?

Either Shog9 from udder space is a good deal younger than me or he really does have no appreciation for classics. My dad, mom, sister and I used to watch Cheers every week. MASH was on around the same time too.
cheers, Paul M. Watson.

For their successful lunar probe!

I remember reading somewhere that Shog was born in 1980 which makes him my age give or take a few months, so he should know Cheers, which is a brilliant show in my opinion. Also, MASH is another of my all time favorites.

Seriously, we need that. Where do set up a petition for it?

Let's just hope this is a step towards becoming a more advanced society so they stop doing the horrible things they do.

According to Wikipedia, i should remember Cheers, but... i don't. I remember Fraiser, and various other shows that referenced Cheers. I remember a number of lawsuits surrounding the use of the name on actual bars. But... MASH... i remember watching re-runs in the late '90s. I think i've managed to block out most '80s pop-culture. Wife and i were talking about this the other day... i don't remember a non-freakish Michael Jackson either.

You're right. These facts that you've laid out totally contradict the wild ramblings that I pulled off the back of cornflakes packets.

Yes, congratulations! I can't wait for someone to put another man on the moon. Yes it was done 40 years ago, but that was so last century. We need to kick start another drive for the 21st century. If we, in this world, can get over our maddening greed, we could move forward and get some good space exploration done. We should be able to get man to the moon again, establish a moon base, then on to Mars. So much for my wishful thinking/hoping.

Unless we build a major fraction of a Mars ship on the Moon, I question its actual benefit to the end goal. The only thing we could learn is if 1/6th g is enough to keep the body from falling apart.
